Following the recent decision of the Premier Academy League ('PAL') to discontinue in its current format, Independent Football Australia (‘IFA’) is excited to announce that it has agreed with PAL Management to transition operations of the competition in New South Wales in readiness for the upcoming Summer Term-4 Season at the flagship at Wanderers Football Park.

IFA looks forward to working closely with existing PAL Academies to build on what has now become the leading junior and youth small-sided competition in the country, as we enter into this new and exciting chapter for Australian football.

The Chair of IFA, Marc Chiarella, says “PAL has been the life blood of independent football in Australia for the last 5 years. The opportunity to transition under IFA’s not-for-profit structure offers governance and stability. This ensures that the standards set by PAL will continue to grow from strength to strength.”
